Item Details
Early 19th Century Wedgwood Queensware Creamware Cup & Saucer - c.1820.
A nice creamware cup and saucer, made by the Wedgwood factory in their "Queensware" range and probably dating from c.1820. The cup and saucer are of a typical early 19th Century style and decorated with a blue and gilt band to rim. In all a great piece of early 19th Century creamware from a top factory!!!
The cup measures just under 2 1/2" high and 4" diameter, including the handle, the saucer 5 1/2" diameter. Both pieces are marked to the base with an impressed backstamp (see photos). The cup has a faint hairline crack to the rim, otherwise in good overall condition with no damage or restoration.
