I began my career as an antique dealer in 1988, working alongside my father who was a passionate collector of early English ceramics and Art Pottery, particularly pieces associated with the Bristol area. From an early age I developed a strong interest in antiques and decorative collectables, learning to recognise quality craftsmanship and historically important pieces. For many years we were regular exhibitors on the UK antiques fair circuit, trading at well-known events including the Matford Centre and Westpoint in Exeter, as well as antiques fairs in Shepton Mallet, Newark and Swinderby. These fairs provided a wonderful opportunity to meet collectors, dealers and enthusiasts who shared a passion for English ceramics, art pottery and decorative antiques. When my father retired in the early 2000s, I continued dealing independently before stepping away from the trade in 2007 to pursue a management career. In 2022 I returned to the antiques world and now specialise in selling antiques and collectables online, offering carefully sourced pieces from home in the UK. Today the business is run by myself, with occasional help from my partner who assists with creative upcycling projects thanks to her excellent eye for design. While we currently operate as an online antiques shop, we hope to expand into a dedicated unit in the future as the business continues to grow.

A nice well executed watercolour depicting the South Devon coast, possibly Elbury Cove, with sailing vessels in the foreground. It is double mounted, glazed and set in a wooden frame. In all a nice evocative 19th Century watercolour!!!

There is a possible monogram to the bottom right "GP" possibly. It is in good overall condition with no damage or restoration.
